Updates are an important thing to keep an eye on, I know it’s a bit of a pain when your computer is nudging you to update certain elements and so on but it is always worth doing, I make a nice cup of coffee while I wait for mine to update!
It’s best to nip the updates in the bud as soon as they pop up as it could lead to something minor such as a bit of lag or a page taking a while longer to load, but, some updates could lead to more headache inducing results such as outright crashing a site or not being able to use a site therefore effecting your overheads if you are a business; Let’s be real, all company’s nowadays are online so this is a big deal!
The occasional update may not include a significant amount of new content or anything too interesting but it really does help your site, computer, plugin etc… perform to their highest level, thus limiting any possible hurdles down the line! A stitch in time, as they say.
