Hi, My name is gpwtech.co.uk, I’m a very new web designer and editor based in Cardiff. Web design wasn’t something I ever thought possible for myself, as someone who suffers severely from social anxiety, finding a normal job proved impossible and holding down a normal job was completely unfeasible, managers were concerned about my health due to panic attacks and my fight or flight response kept kicking in, those were tough times for both my family and I.
Running out of options I decided to try anything! My big brain idea (initially) was to start writing a football blog based around the best football club in the world and the love of my life, the mighty reds! Liverpool. Not knowing where to start I began to ask around and luckily a cousin of mine happened to be familiar with blogs and blogging…. as well as being a full time web designer (ooooh foreshadowing!).
One night i began chatting to my cousin about the possibility of starting my blog, after a little bit we started talking about what they did for a living and BOOM! A spark went off in my head! I thought WAIT! I WANT TO DO THAT! So, after giving me a great starting point and being very generous and supportive with me I’m now branching out to try and make a career out of Web design. I’m so very grateful to both my cousin and my mother in particular for aiding me on this journey and I’m putting all my eggs into this basket, now I believe I’ve found my calling, my calling in life, thanks to them I’ve found my second wind, a second chance at life!
