The Eye’s fixed gaze

Rumours that a part of Sauron survived his deadly encounter with Isildur, son of Elendil in the second year of the Third Age. The dark Lord has taken the shape of a giant fiery ball with a giant slit shaped pupil at the centre of the ominous figure, ‘the eye of Sauron’ is the name whispered in all regions of Middle-Earth, this hidious presence sits atop the peak of the tower of Barad-dûr.

Thankfully, here in the Shire, we are the complete opposit region of Middle-Earth and nothing will surely come of this ‘eye’! Gondor should easily deal with the forces of evil, luckily we can all put our feet up and fear not…surely?….right?
